Job Summary: Responsible for carrying out the Service Excellence Standards for patients & patients’ by meeting and greeting patients admitted. Provide indirect care that meets the psychosocial, physical (non-clinical), and general aspects of care. Meets the communication needs of the patient and acts as the liaison between nursing personnel and patient-specific to enhance the patient experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Promotes the mission, vision & values of the Hospital.
Demonstrates knowledge of the Service Excellence Standards.
Obtains the Admission list from management.
Delivers the Admission Binder.
Consults with other departments, as appropriate, to provide an excellent patient experience.
Assists the front desk with visitors who need additional assistance by answering questions about directions, logistics, or any non-medical questions that would enhance the patient experience.
Demonstrates the ability to be flexible, organized and functions well under stressful situations
. Practices Standard Precautions.
Adheres to Service Excellence Standards by demonstrating positive communication, prompt & respectful service, and maintaining an appropriate work environment when working with patients, staff, co-workers, visitors, and others.
Demonstrates the ability to communicate with pediatrics, adolescents, young adult, and geriatric patients and visitors
Candidates must have sat at the West African Examination Council
Willing to learn within the health sector or already have experience in health practices.
