WASH Technician

GOAL is looking to recruit a qualified, flexible, and enthusiastic professional to work within the WASH team and partners as a WASH Technician based in Kenema District. Under the supervision of the Senior WASH Technician, the WT will work closely with the Senior WASH Technician to supervise the rehabilitation of hand dug wells by contractors and coordinate the work with the local community and the local leaders and government and to ensure timely completion of high quality well rehabilitation in his/her designated operational area, and regularly reports progress and challenges to the Senior WASH Technician

To succeed in this role, you will have a Technical Diploma in Engineering (building and construction) or related field of Study, or third level city and guilds qualification, with at least two (2) years of professional experience in working with reputable borehole drilling company or supervising borehole drilling while working with another Organisation or institution. Work on WASH Programmes with an international NGO or related training Experience will be an advantage. Good computer skills with a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, Excellent written and oral English, and ability to speak Mende is an advantage.
